Oil on Canvas ~ SOLD

My dearest South African friend, Penny Haig, bought this painting from me before I moved to the USA. It is a snapshot depiction of my kids at play on Campsbay Beach. I am not sure who I miss most, my friend or my kids at this age!!!

The painting has rich impasto brush strokes, emphasizing the transition between the warm and cool colours, which in turn, creates a lively, sunny rendition of a very special moment of kids on the beach.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did painting it!

  8. Oh my goodness Cecilia, what an amazing gift. In addition to it being such a gorgeous painting but the vibrant colours depict the vibrancy of your wonderful children. I would love it if you could link this fabulous post to our newly launched linky party.

  9. Oh my, beautiful! Someday, I would like a painting of my kids at play - what a treasure!! I shouldn't even invite you to my blog. I'm doing a wall mural and while I think it will be fine, I'd never want a professional artist to see it!!! :) However, I'd love for you to link up to Tuesday's Nursery on Dec 6th for all ages of kids decor party. Here is the site: - I'm going back to look at more of your work and following. Oh, and love Carmel - we have friends there. Nice to meet you! Nan
